Other women around the world need YOUR help. Especially as belly dancers, we who have embraced a dance from another culture, have a responsibility to help our sisters around the world.

Cancer and belly dance--I'm one of many dancers in recovery from this......
Find me at Lesson Portal. com!
. Having lost an eye to a rare form of cancer, I have been forced to modify and adapt my own dance style to deal with extreme visual limitation, and all the weird things that go with that. Through study in journals, talking to doctors,  and trial and error, I'm slowly learning how to use my other senses in this dance. This is a rare form of cancer, (occular melanoma) and not too much is known about it, so I have been thrust into a pioneering role. Before all this happened, I was already beginning to offer classes to all populations, inc. physically and mentally challenged people. Then, with the diagnosis, I applied my own teaching methods to myself. I TRULY invite women of all sizes, shapes, age, and physical mobility to take a bellydance class, and learn a powerful and physically healing art form. I'm focusing on learning much more about this dance, so I can bring it to others, in teaching and performance..
Cancer is still cancer, so I'm working with pain management and keeping positive and cheerful as much as possible, eating my veggies, taking supplements, and educating MYSELF.
